Walter X. Burns, 72, Opened Applause Restaurant In Stamford

Walter X. Burns Jr., a lifelong resident of the Cos Cob neighborhood in Greenwich, died Wednesday, Feb. 12. He was 72. Burns was born Aug. 23, 1941, to Walter X. Burns Sr. and Margaret Mitchell Burns.
