Uncooperative Teller Thwarts Attempted Bank Robbery In Greenwich

A bank teller with steely nerves refused to comply with an attempted bank robber's demands, and he fled a Greenwich bank empty-handed Monday afternoon, police said. Shortly after 3 p.m., a man in a Yankees baseball cap entered the Cos Cob branch of the Chase Bank at 371 Post Road and presented a teller with a note demanding money, police said.
